Renaud SABATIER
Dr Sabatier is a medical oncologist at Institut Paoli-Calmettes, one of the main comprehensive cancer centers in France. He did his residency at Marseille University hospitals and obtained his medical degree in 2012. He also obtained a PhD in 2011 at Aix Marseille University in the lab of Daniel Birnbaum (Cancer Research Center of Marseille). After three years as a University Hospital Fellow, he joined in 2016 the Cambridge Cancer Research Center (CRUK-Cambridge Institute, UK, James Brenton’s lab) to improve his knowledge on circulating tumor DNA analyses and its use for ovarian cancer assessment. When he get back in Marseille, he joined the medical oncology department of the IPC as Associate Professor at AMU. In addition, he became the leader of the IPC program on gynecological cancers, with research activity focused mainly on ovarian and breast cancers in the lab of Prof. Bertucci and Dr. Birnbaum at the CRCM. He is a member of the UNICANCER breast cancer intergroup, of the GINECO group and of its working group dedicated to early phase studies (GINEGEPS), ESMO, EACR, and the French Cancer Society. He is an editorial board member of the Bulletin du Cancer since 2019 and associate editor for BMC Cancer since 2018.
